Anyways, a parallel in software would be the concept of self-hosting platforms (e.g. you write Eclipse using Eclipse.. ) which some ppl will akin to "eating your own dog food": A good way of improving your platform. And for rssfwd, I'm using it - I'm the #2 (surprisingly) biggest user - and happily eat my own dog food.
